Christ Lives in Us!

September 26, 2014 By Dale Fletcher Leave a Comment

This last week has been an amazing week for me spiritually! God is revealing to me some of his deep truths regarding being one with Jesus – being in union with Him – and what abiding or remaining in Him is about.

Paul shares one of these truths in his letter to the Galatians.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Abide in JesusIn a mysterious and supernatural way, Jesus lives in me. He and I are in union with one another. This union occurred when I accepted Jesus into me heart as my Savior. Because of this union, He can live through me. The Holy Spirit, who lives in me, will continue to give me the desire and power to continually have this attitude. My role in this is to believe this is true, surrender to Him constantly, and to desire – deep in my heart – and depend on Him to live His life through me.

As I remain in this desire and belief and attitude, in the most humble and sincere and trusting way, Jesus will live through me. And, when He does, my life is full of fruit! And when my life is full of fruit, God is glorified!

Jesus died so that each of us can bear fruit so that His Father can be made famous. This is the abundant life that Jesus died for you and for me to experience. John 10:10

If you have a relationship with Jesus, will you open your heart and mind to these deep truths…. and ask Him to live through you? If this is the earnest and deep desire of your heart, He will.
