Christian Wellness and Health Coaching

Dale FletcherReady to Make Some Changes?

Do you desire to make some lifestyle changes to become healthier? And, are you ready? If so, Dale is available to partner with you.

Read about Dale’s faith-based wellness coaching and then request a complimentary session by completing the form below.

Why Ask Dale to Be Your Wellness Coach?

Dale has 25-years of professional experience in the wellness field and also has rich life experiences as a follower of Christ. You and Dale will work together as a team based on honesty, trust and respect. Dale will help you see through all the ‘fog’ in your life and help you get to the heart of the matter and any obstacles that have been in your way.

If you’re a Christian, Dale will encourage you to apply principles of your Christian faith that directly or indirectly affect your attitudes and behaviors.  He’ll help you ‘connect the dots’ between your health and your faith. You’ll appreciate his caring, positive, encouraging and supportive nature.

Are You Currently a Life Coach or Health Coach?

If you are already a coach, you may be interested in using the Spiritual Fitness Assessment that Dale has developed. Read about the Spiritual Fitness Assessment. Permission to reprint the assessment and use it with your clients is possible by purchasing it on the Products for Purchase Page. You may also gain great insight into the faith and health link by participating in the Faith and Health Ambassador Course or the 3-hour Faith and Health Link Teleseminar.

Christian Wellness Coaching – What is It?

Christian health coaches assist people in identifying and accomplishing specific health-related goals.  They provide you with the tools, perspective and structure to accomplish more through a process of accountability. Coaching is a consistent, on going relationship where the coach stays with the client to help implement new skills, changes and goals. Lifestyle, in a coaching context, addresses the whole person, including physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. While they might initially be focused on a physical health issue, other dimensions of your life will also most likely be addressed.

Since at the core, we are spirit, it makes sense to address related spiritual issues. If a person who desires to work with a wellness coach is a Christian, the real value of being in relationship with a Christian wellness coach is that they both share common spiritual beliefs and can appreciate the significance of putting into practice the principles found in the Bible. When a person aligns their behaviors with their values which are steeped in their deep spiritual beliefs, this affords a climate where true lasting behavior change can occur.

A big part of staying healthy has to do with how you manage the stress in your life. The degree to which you mange your stress will play a major factor in how healthy you’re able to be. See the page Stress and Your Health – A Christian Perspective for more insight.

How and Where Will Coaching Occur?

Conveniently, Dale’s wellness coaching can be done in person or over the phone so geographical boundaries are eliminated. If you live close by, you and Dale may well agree to meet in person. When at all possible, the first session will be face-to-face and, if desired, Dale will also send frequent notes of encouragement by email.

What is the Format?

You and Dale will work together to choose the focus, format, and the desired outcome of your coaching. Dale recommends weekly 30-40 minute sessions for a minimum of three months. He’ll ask you to complete a questionnaire that helps him understand your current situation and challenges. Then by interacting at regular intervals throughout each month, you and he will be better able to set strategies, take action, and keep you moving forward. How does coaching differ from counseling or what a close friend can do? Wellness coaching is not therapy. Where therapy brings understanding and awareness of the past to a client, coaching provides the support and strategy to make changes based on the awareness a client holds. Wellness coaching concentrates primarily on the present and future, not on the past. A supportive friend is wonderful to have in life, yet does not hold the objectivity and distance that a coach does. A Christian health coach is a professional who is trusted to work with you on the most important aspects of your life. A coach offers a different perspective of the truth because of the emotional distance the professional relationship offers.

Testimonial

“Dale has been an inspiration to me to reach what I thought was beyond my grasp. He understood my unique situation, listened, and supported me all the way.  I appreciate that I had Dale as my coach and am a better man because of him.”

“I find it difficult to express my gratitude in the language of speech….all I know is that I have this overwhelming feeling of thankfulness for the spiritual guidance you have given me.“

“I can’t thank you enough for the time you have given to listen and pray for me. Yesterday was a much better day than most. I attribute it mostly to finally talking to you and to God. I just really want you to know how appreciative I am that you listen so well and are so calming. So thank you again.”
