Wellness Webinar
In late August I’ll be starting a 4-week webinar series addressing unhealthy behaviors and the role of faith in changing those behaviors. I’ll be sharing my insight about the faith and health link from the Christian perspective and equip you with skills and knowledge to change unhealthy behaviors – with God’s help.
The first session of the 4-week series will be an introduction to the spirituality and health connection and will be free.
Help me determine which of two focuses to have during the remainder of the series by answering the poll below. I’ll announce the series focus and provide details on how to register soon. Stay tuned.

I’ve been overweight all my life. I’ve been a believer for 5 years. When I think about being fat, I used to beat myself up for it – for my weakness, my greed, my inability to “stick” to healthy eating & exercise routines.
Recently, I realized all my excess fat symbolizes “stored energy” & “unused potential” in my life. Because I resolved to use my talent, energies, career to bring God’s love & light more fully into this world, the fact that I have so much “unused potential” is unacceptable.
Our bodies are given to be used for a higher good. Our gifts & talents are given to be used to serve & help others. When I’m on my way to the gym, I sometimes speak to my body. I thank it for never failing to do its job. I praise all my parts for carrying out their functions without any input from me. I tell my body I love it – strengthening it & conditioning it with exercise is how I show that love because it is beautiful but covered over with so much unused energy (fat) it may not live long enough to do the job it was put here to do. It is capable of doing much more than I have ever demanded of it. But I need it to function at optimal levels so the work of God can be done.
This reasoning is how I personally was able to position fitness & healthy eating into my reluctant “brain banks.”
I don’t know if it is helpful – i only wished to share. Thank you for your work in faith & health. It is SO important. Keep it up!!!
