On Thursday of this week, I had the great pleasure of visiting Grace Covenant Church in Huntersville, NC to lead a session of a PathWay 2 Wholeness (P2W) program that their church is offering. 20 women are participating as part of their weekly Women of Grace ministry.
Earlier in the year, one of the church’s members, Jo Rohrbaugh, participated in the Faith and Health Ambassador Course. Upon completion of the course, she met with the Pastor of Women’s Ministry to explore whether the P2W program could be offered to the women of the church. The church leadership saw the merit of offering the course… and the rest is history, so it’s said.
Jo asked if I would care to facilitate one of the 10 sessions of the program. I agreed to led the session titled Living in a Healthy Relationship With Your Self – What the Bible Says. As part of the session we looked at the list of 42 Biblical Principles for Living a Full Life that is included in the program Participant Guide and discussed those principles relevant for this week’s topic. There was some very heartfelt and meaningful discussions about several of those principles. Among the key principles, and associated scripture, that we explored were:
- Believe the Holy Spirit Lives in You
- Know and Believe Your True Identity in Christ
- Believe That God Loves You
- Replace the Lies of Satan with God’s Truths
- Do Not Worry or Be Anxious
- Trust God
- Forgive Yourself
A few of the women were transparent in sharing about some long-standing issues that had kept them from living in freedom and experiencing the full life that Jesus wants for us all to have. And, more importantly, their hearts were healed as they received supportive and loving prayer from the others and a touch from Jesus.
Teaching one of the P2W sessions was rewarding and encouraging for me as I was able to directly witness some fruit being born out of the Faith and Health Ambassador initiative. Transformation and improved spirit, mind body health is already occurring for some of the women at Grace Covenant!
A big “Thank You” goes out to Cammie Wilson, Jo Rohrbaugh and others at Grace Covenant that have created a godly environment for people to grow in their faith and to heal in their hearts.
I’m also very appreciative of the six other Faith and Health Ambassadors who are currently leading the P2W program at their respective churches. Thank you all for serving and growing the Kingdom of God.
