Jesus Christ is the reason to celebrate Christmas.
And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet: “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’” Matthew 1:21-23
I’m thankful that Jesus’ mom, Mary, was trusting of and obedient to God and that she gave birth to a babe in a manger long ago. This babe is now King and Savior and Healer. He is Jesus!
Jesus saves us from our sins – past, present and future. Because of Jesus, those of us who have a relationship with him will live eternally with Him in heaven.
And, as the verse says, ‘God is with us’ today. All day long! Every day! His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, gives us guidance and power to live life, God’s way. When we live God’s way, He is glorified and made more famous…. and this is our reason for living, to glorify God.
So, especially for these next few days, if you are in a relationship with Jesus, rejoice that Jesus is with you. That Jesus wants to live His life through you. That Jesus is not only the ‘reason for the season’ but the reason that you can live life free from the sin that would otherwise entangle you. Let your light, like the light above the manger in this picture, shine brightly so that all those around you will be led to your Savior, the King of the world, Jesus.
Jesus is the reason for this season!
May you experience a joyful Christmas holiday.

Although one might not be the same as another, it does not mean we all wouldn’t feel the same regardless. If one is being bothered by any hinderance to their joyfulness, it not only my belief, but in consideration in accords to my understanding, that if one would just believe, even though a thing were physically impossible, just trust the most high God (even the Lord) and ask of Him for anything, because He really does love us all. For all things are possible with God. Thanks.
