Several years ago I wrote a blog post about the significance of the strength we receive from God. The scripture I referenced was Isaiah 40:28-31. The post has had more comments than any other post I have written in over a dozen years.
Yesterday, a visitor searching for scriptures about strength read that blog post and added the following comment:
I have a dear, dear friend who is dealing with breast cancer. This has been a time of of tears, fear, love, bonding, and even some laughter. Her husband has requested letters from friends to create a wall of hope and inspiration in a room of their home in which she can go and be uplifted and remember the love and support of all of us.
I am looking for a scripture or God’s words that explains how He does not keep us complacent but moves us and challenges us to grow us and to mold us and move us forward to prepare us for a life with Him.
Can anyone share their thoughts to give me some words of inspiration for my personal letter to her? Kelly
Kelly’s comment above touched my heart and I instantly felt the Holy Spirit leading me to share this here with my readers.
If you have some suggestions of scripture or words of encouragement for Kelly, or her friend, I invite you to share it in the Comments section.
Thanks!
