To seek and destroy
and be available to deploy,
to know and understand
the enemy and those
whom he employes.
To know the enemy is
ever present, to stay
awake and not sleep
on the job. To restore the
peace which the enemy robs.
To restore joy into the lives
of those who’ve become enslaved
doing the enemies deeds.
To bring those captive, out of the pit
so they can breath.
To deliver freedom,
whatever the cost.
To shine light on the path
that leads to the place of safety
for those who are captive,
for those who are lost.
A soldier is humble, noble, and brave.
A soldier is also direct, knowledgeable,
leading from the front and bringing up the rear.
Making sure those for whom he is responsible are
not caught and left in the enemies snare.
A soldier does not calculate the cost
he does not serve for notoriety, his accomplishments
he does not boast.
A call that is committed to his leader,
a commitment that lasts forever,
a commitment that displays the responsibility
The Call of a Soldier.
