Do you struggle in your relationship with food and in losing weight?
This morning I read a short article in our local newspaper, the Charlotte Observer, that was reprinted from when it originally appeared in the July 6, 2012 issue of the Washington Post. Carla Broyles is on staff at the Post.
I believe that what she writes in her article, Learning to Lose Weight By the Good Book, is right on target.
Since the beginning of time, we humans have struggled in our relationship with food because of how Satan messes with our minds. It began when the Serpent tested Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Broyles ends her article saying, “It’s about developing wisdom, loving myself the way God does and knowing when enough is enough. I don’t know why it took me so long to go to God with this issue, but when I did, He was there with his arms stretched out, ready to take me in like a proud parent.”
Thank you, Ms. Broyles, for sharing your experience and for pointing your readers to the wisdom and truth of the Bible and writing about a loving God.
I hope you enjoy reading her article, and that you have a great day!

Thank you so much for your site and your blog. I love to hear from someone who shares my same passion. God has made it clear that if we want our fitness plan to succeed our motives must be in line with his will. Are we exercising and eating healthy so that we can be better used by God, do we want more energy to do His will, do we want to take care of the temple of the Holy Spirit. If yes, pray and ask God to help and He will! Thanks
