According to research by the Barna Group, 58% of Christians do not believe that the Holy Spirit is a living force.
Are you one of them?
Scripture is really clear on this. Jesus told his followers….
“But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.” John 16:7
When Jesus mentions the Helper, He is referring to the Holy Spirit.
Here is a great list of scriptures that mention the Holy Spirit and His role in the life of the believer.
And here on my website, I have written numerous blog posts on the significance of the Holy Spirit in terms of the connection between the Christian Faith and personal health and wellbeing.
The Holy Spirit is real. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, He lives within you. His purpose is to help you become more like Jesus so that God can be glorified.
The Holy Spirit will also enable you to live a healthy lifestyle, if you surrender to Him. He will help you make healthy choices, if you submit to Him.
If you have been one of the 58% of Christians who has not believed the Holy Spirit is a real entity, I encourage you to read the scriptures in the list above. Open your own Bible as you read the verses. Ask God to reveal to you who Holy Spirit is.
If you have a desire to know Him, God the Father will reveal Him to you.
Have a blessed day, in Christ!
