Summer is just a few days away and I hope you're doing well!!
Each of us has a deep need to feel accepted and loved. Sometimes, if
we're not careful, we begin to look to others for acceptance.
We fall into the trap of becoming people pleasers.
This can prevent you from being the kind of men and women Christ
wants and needs you to be as a leader of His church body. It
can impact on how you're serving others.
Check yourself. Have you developed a pattern of being a people
pleaser? It can be easy for you in your position, but Christ
really wants your full identity to be in Him. I'll share a few
affirmations/confessions with you:
"I am God's masterpiece, created anew in Christ, doing the work
He planned for me long ago." Eph 2:10
"I am a new person because I belong to Christ." 2 Cor
5:17
And here is a link to
some others verses as a reminder of your identity in the Lord.
